Visited twice during our weekend stay on the island. Delicious wraps and smoothies. Not the cheapest but really, what is on BI? I thought it was worth it. Staff was friendly when we visited.

First off I've never understood the attraction of smoothie bars. I've never woken up and thought to myself "Wow I could really go for a nice smoothie!" I've always thought they were overpriced and for the same price I could purchase twice the amount of fruit and just eat that the normal way, with my teeth. I don't need somebody to purify it for me and grind it up in cheap ass ice. But hey maybe that's just me. So I went here seeking breakfast... to grab a quick bite before heading to the beach. It's counter service so it's very fast and convenient. For breakfast they offer breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, muffins, and of course smoothies (boo). The regular breakfast sandwich seemed like a bargain at $4.50. Their other breakfast sandwiches seemed like a rip-off because for $3 more they simply add a tomato and pesto. Being the cheapskate that I am I opted just for the regular breakfast sandwich (eggs and cheese). It wasn't bad. Like I said it was reasonably priced and thankfully it carried me over until lunchtime.

Great food, great staff, the coffee was exceptional and the smoothie we (my girlfriend and I) shared was awesome. We're definitely conning back!

Pros: - Around the block from the ferry terminal - Quick service - Outdoor seating - Vegetarian and vegan menu - Quality food Cons: - The price - 2 sandwiches, 1 medium smoothie, and 1 ice coffee cost $26! - Not the friendliest staff - woman at the counter thought I said "sausage" when I said "salsa" and snapped at me that they don't serve meat there.

This is our favorite place to eat on Block Island. My girlfriend is a vegetarian/vegan and so during a previous visit to Block Island we found Froozies. I am not a vegetarian, and yet this is MY favorite place as well. On our most recent visit (Memorial Day weekend), I had the egg, homemade salsa and cheddar breakfast sandwich (excellent - ate two!). For lunch, The Horizon (one day), and the Veggie Wrap (next day). Both very good. Friendly staff. Prices were in line with what we are willing to pay given that it is Block Island, and most importantly for the quality of the food. We will be back!

Love the Falafel pita with everything on it. The smoothies are awesome. This is perfect to take away for a casual lunch on the beach. The food is great, but the staff is kinda grumpy. Thank god it's take out.

For those looking for a true juice from this "juice bar," you are out of luck. They specialize in smoothies. The only juice they have is bottled juice in a refrigerator - cranberry, apple, orange. Not going here for juice any time soon

As a vegetarian on Block Island, you can easily get tired of beet salads and pasta primavera; but Froozies is a vegetarian-friendly oasis! Sandwiches are full, flavorful, and well-designed, offering lots of filing choices - falafel, portabellas, grilled cheese, chili, veggie burgers - and loaded up with toppings. Simple seating is available outdoors, or just grab your sandwich and head down to the beach a few steps away. Definitely on my list of must-haves when I'm on the island!

Froozie's is a yummy little vegan spot on Block Island! Fresh, tasty, and organic food fills their menu and your belly. My trusty iPhone map app lead my husband and I here after a morning bike ride for our day trip to the island. I ordered the Veggie Wrap sans cheese which was overflowing with fresh veggies and extremely filling. My husband ordered the Spicy Black Bean Burger with a side of sweet potato fries. He enjoyed his meal immensely. Froozie's is a must stop if you are one who likes healthy, vegan/vegetarian food. You won't be disappointed (well, maybe in the slightly high prices, but not in the yumminess in the food). Happy Vegan Eating, Carolyn

Overall, I've been unimpressed with the dining options on Block Island. The restaurants are by-and-large quite similar to one another and I've been disappointed in the quality of the food they serve. That being said, Froozies is a welcome exception to this trend. The food is well-made and very tasty--I'm usually not into vegetarian restaurants, but I'm a definite fan of this place! Froozies serves both breakfast and lunch. For breakfast they offer a number of different breakfast burritos and sandwiches, which I haven't had the chance to try seeing as I haven't yet made it to town by 11:30 am. Lunch offerings include wraps, falafel, paninis, bean burgers, and salads. I'm personally a very big fan of the falafel, and would recommend paying the extra dollar for "the works." The humus and tabouli that come in the falafel works give the wrap a much more authentic taste. If you're not into falafel, the grilled cheese works panini is another nice option, as is the portabella mushroom sandwich topped with feta, spinach, and roasted red peppers. Finally, don't forget to get yourself a froozie (smoothie)! I'm picky when it comes to fruit smoothies, but would highly recommend the froozies. They're a bit pricy, but totally worth it! Unlike other places that use yogurt and/or sherbert in their smoothies (I'm looking at you Robeks!), Froozies uses all fruit and fruit juice, making for a more refreshing, cleaner taste. While they do put bananas in all of their smoothies, the banana flavor doesn't overpower the other fruits they include. While the #1 (apple, peach, mixed berry), #3 (cranberry, mango, raspberry), and #6 (pineapple, peach, strawberry) were all good, I was particularly partial to the #5 (orange, mango, peach). As far as sizes go, I found the small to be a bit too small (particularly as an accompaniment to lunch) and would recommend ordering a medium.

Froozies for floozies Funky Atmosphere & Eclectic Fare. That what they say about themselves and they're right. Went to Froozies for the first time this year and they're as good as ever. Had a huge burrito with mushrooms and peppers for breakfast. Then after biking around the island to pay homage to the lighthouses I visited the statue of Rebekah to think impure thoughts of her. Then I returned to Froozies for lunch and had a great veggie burger and of course a froozie. Just sat on the deck and watched the world go by. Block Island is great this time of the year because it's almost empty. Just me and Rebekah.

We really like Froozie's. While the counter is usually busy and therefore slow, we've always had pleasant interactions with the staff. The food is pretty good- would love to see more options for those of us that don't eat things with gluten.

Vegetarian counter. Food is nice, a bit pricey and the service is not good (unfriendly staff/owner).

I was there last week and I loved having breakfast and lunch at that place! The food was good but what I liked the most were the smoothies, they were all organic and yummy! Next time I go back to Block Island I will be looking forward to go to froozies. The outdoor seating area is pretty relaxing and very nice in a sunny day; there is also a porch area were you can seat and is very nice. The price is reasonable I guess, I was on vacation for a week only and didn't want to pay too much attention to every penny I spent but I didn't feel it was too expensive. Staff weren't too nice, but the service was fast.

I love this place. Nothing better than a froozie on the way to or from the beach. When I'm at home I make them myself but when I'm on-island I always go to Froozies (they have selections that I just don't make at home). Try the breakfast burrito - it's the best way to recover from a night of imbibing. Good prices, GREAT food!

Another Block Island place that's really sweet but also pretty expensive. Lots of very nice fruity drinks to cool you off but you have to pay for the sweetness. Kind of hard to find, right around the corner of Dodge coming off Water Street.
